Or, if you are looking for a book that addresses magical properties and intentions, planetary and elemental rulers, and stone symbolism-as well as how to use stones for divination and spells-you’d be better off with Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem, and Metal Magic by Scott Cunningham (which includes a 16 page insert of color photographs of over 100 crystals, stones, and metals.)

Crystal Therapy is a fantastic introduction to the metaphysical world of crystals. Does it cover every crystal? Of course not! But it certainly covers MOST of the ones that MOST of those working with crystals will ever be using. The way she connects the angels and crystals is work the price of the book alone. Does each description agree with all the other crystal books? Of course not, but no two books or sources completely agree anyway!

Doreen is the BEST at gently bringing the metaphysical to the masses. THANK YOU to her for that!

Crystal and gem collecting has been my hobby since 1981. Michael Gienger has written some of the best books on using crystals that I have ever come across. Crystal Power, Crystal Healing: The Complete Handbook Healing Crystals: The A – Z Guide to 430 Gemstones. This new book is another “gem”. His explanations of everything from cancer to insect bites is clear and insightful. The crystals he recommends most are some of the most affordable and under-rated stones, such as heliotrope and agates. This is a very practical hands-on book. Gienger tells which 24 healing crystals would be essential in a travel kit, adds another 24 (48 total) to make a good small home kit.

Finally, he adds another 42 (90 total) healing crystals that comprise a large home kit. Included are clear color photos for each crystal.

I have tried some of the remedies and they have worked very well.

I am especially grateful for his simple method of relieving neck pain and tension with an amethyst druse. My neck felt better than it had in years. The three simple treatments I did myself in few minutes one evening, lasted over a week.

An extremely useful and well written guide to treating specific health problems using minerals and crystals. I consider this text to be one of the best references in my library on “New Age” therapies. The author’s approach to this subject is refreshingly scientific compared to the many previously written books on crystal healing, that contain mostly “New Age” fluff. I highly recommend this book on crystal healing by Michael Gienger.

I have a fairly large library of books on crystals, vibrational healing and the like. I have Melody’s “Love Is In The Earth,” Diane Stein’s two books on gemstones and others. But I have to say that Judy Hall and “The Crystal Bible” is one of the BEST books I have and one that I refer to on a regular basis. Her information is clear, beautifully presented and filled with insight. I definitely appreciate the true-to-life color photos of the stones that are featured in each chapter. Some books have photos that look nothing like the real thing! I feel when I read this book that I am getting a broad range of researched and cross referenced info that covers the spectrum from physical ailments to emotional and spiritual maladies. I especially like how she breaks down the info in each chapter and tells you exactly where the crystal is best placed upon the body for optimum benefit. I have recommended this book to many people. If I had to only own two books on crystal healing, I would choose this one and Melody’s book. Outstanding! Well done! BUY THIS BOOK!

The convenient directory format makes it easy to find particular crystals or to identify unknown ones. The esoteric properties of the stones are described, with each stone’s mental, spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical effects explained, as well as its application for healing purposes. The introduction provides interesting background information on how crystals are formed, advice on how to select and care for your crystals, how to use them for various purposes including healing and decoration, and the proper way of dedicating them.
